MARTIN, Blair David

Age 49, Orangeville, Ontario. It is with broken hearts and profound sadness, that we the family of Blair David Martin, announce his passing on Sat., March 27, 2021 in Orangeville, Ontario. Born on October 23, 1971 in Sydney, NS, Blair was the son of the late Florence Mclean (Martin) and Elton Martin Sr., New Waterford. Blair was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and cheered them on unconditionally. He was active in sports all his life and loved a good football game, especially the New York Jets. Blair is survived by his father, Elton Martin Sr., and step-mother, Rose Degiobbi of New Waterford; daughter, Scotia Ashlee (her mother, Laura Martin), Orangeville, ON.; three siblings, Kathy Martin (Wayne), Sydney, Wanda Bates (Barry), New Waterford and Elton Martin Jr. (Valerie), Georgetown, ON. He is also survived by 5 step-sisters; 2 step-brothers; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, whom he cherished. Blair was predeceased by his mother, Florence; maternal grandparents (Antigonish, NS) and paternal grandparents (Sydney, NS). Cremation has taken place in Orangeville, ON and due to Covid 19 restrictions, a funeral will be held in Sydney at a later date.
