Sentencing date assigned

SYDNEY — A Glace Bay man is now scheduled to be sentenced in July after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of child pornography.

Blair Morgan Brewer, 35, of South Street is now scheduled to be sentenced July 8.

Brewer had been charged with a total of nine child pornography offences that were alleged to have occurred between June 2018 and January 2020. Those offences included making and publishing child porn and accessing child porn.

The status of the remaining eight counts will be decided at the time of sentencing.

Brewer continues his release on conditions.
