Trail date rescheduled
SYDNEY — A new provincial court trial date has been assigned to a Sydney man facing drug and laundering the proceeds of crime charges.
Francis Joseph Clements, 50, of Caroll Crescent is also charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine and lorazepam) and single counts of trafficking (cocaine), and possession of stolen property.
Clements was charged in 2020 after police searched two properties and seized quantities of cocaine and lorazepam, and ammunition along with $15,000 in cash.
Clements was scheduled to stand trial this month but the hearing has now been adjourned until Aug. 11.
