Suzanne Gerrior ~ Soccer

Asoccer prodigy from Halifax, Gerrior grew up playing on Nova Scotia provincial teams and represented Nova Scotia at the Canada Games in 1989. She did all that before the age of 16.

At just 17, she broke in with Canada’s national senior women’s team in 1990 to become the first player from Atlantic Canada to be named to the program. Gerrior represented Canada 10 times in international competition, including at the 1995 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Sweden. Gerrior played U.S. college at North Carolina State.
