Age 75, Aug. 19, 1948 – Oct. 8, 2023. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emily Mcleod on October 8, 2023, at Willow Hall, Dartmouth Hospital. Emily was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. She was the first child of Keith and Marjorie (White) Ryerson. She later moved to Lower Sackville with her parents and started her family there. Eventually finding her way to Dartmouth. Emily spent many years working as a bookkeeper for Bolands Foods and other businesses. When she decided to slow down a bit, she became a building superintendent and enjoyed developing many friendships through her job. Emily was a crafty individual and loved to knit and crochet. Many friends and family members were recipients of her fine work. Her talents will continue as she passed on her skills by patiently teaching other family members how to crochet. Emily enjoyed genealogy and was the keeper and organizer of the family history. Thanks to her, we are able to know the stories of the past. Emily is survived by her two sons, Stephen Prosser, of Alberta, and Sean Prosser, of Nova Scotia. She is also survived by her brother, Wade (Doris) Ryerson. She leaves behind her

grandchildren, Sonya, Alysha, Dakota and Micheal as well as several great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Ken Mcleod; her infant daughter, Denise; her sister, Janet Marsman as well as her parents, Keith and Marjorie Ryerson. Emily will be sorely missed but will always live on in those who loved her. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., November 25, at AL Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the IWK Childrens hospital.
