SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Harbourfront Theatre is bringing three handpicked productions to the stage this December, as well as a festive open house.

The first event will be the open house on Dec. 4 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The event will be an opportunity for local community members to meet the Harbourfront team over festive refreshments.

Then on Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m., Zimbabwe-based group Black Umfolosi will make their P.E.I. debut as they bring their infectious blend of joyous music and traditional gumboot dance to the stage.

Their trademark harmonies mixed with intricate rhythms, clicking and clapping are highlighted during their brilliantly choreographed shows with a full range of movements from subtle to vibrant stomping and leaping.

The group has become favourites worldwide with people of all ages and cultures, with their natural ability to communicate passion and feeling in their performances.

On Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m., Lennie Gallant Returns to Harbourfront Theatre with a new festive show.

This year’s multimedia version of The Innkeeper’s Christmas features a new band consisting of partner Acadian star Patricia Richard, P.E.I. musical phenom Keelin Wedge, 20-year-old piano marvel Julien Robichaud and a secret special guest.

Finally, at 2 p.m. on Dec. 29, Dufflebag Theatre will return with its version of Robin Hood.

Since 1992, DuffleBag Theatre has travelled the globe with its original adaptations of fairy tales and classic stories.

Tickets for all three shows are available online at www. harbourfronttheatre.com by calling the box office at 902-888-2500 or visiting in person.
