Concerns over Hurricane Lee postpones Windsor’s garlic festival

As Hurricane Lee’s trajectory indicated it would bring stormy weather to Nova Scotia, organizers of Hants County’s garlic street fair have opted to postpone the event. Windsor Garlic Fest, which was scheduled for Sept. 16, will now be held Saturday, Sept. 23 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event, which takes over Gerrish Street in downtown Windsor, will feature fine art, a variety of garlic bulbs and products, garlic ice cream, live music and a garlic eating contest.
