Police seek suspect in Berwick bank heist
Police continue to look for the man who robbed the Royal Bank in Berwick on May 5.
RCMP officers were scattered through the town looking for the suspect after the robbery at about 1:10 p.m. At least 10 vehicles and several officers, including a police dog, were seen in the town.
Cpl. Chris Marshall said the robber entered the bank and made off with a small quantity of money before fleeing on foot. No one was injured during the incident.
The man was described as white, standing about fivefoot-eight with a slim build. The man’s hair was dark, with a receding hairline and a buzz cut. Police said he was wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.
