SCHOOL RAZE

GDR Enterprises began its plan to convert the old Presentation Junior High building on Wellington Street in Corner Brook into a 33-unit apartment building on Monday, Nov. 20, with the demolition of a section of the former school. Plans for the complex will see an extension rebuilt in the area that was torn down to accommodate 12 units, with another 21 units to be constructed in the old school. The plan also includes the addition of 44 parking spaces on the property facing Mount Bernard Avenue, with access to them from that street.
