Kyle James Trahan, 24, of Waterville, has been handed a conditional sentence with a daily curfew for four counts of failing to comply with a condition of a release order.

The release order offences included failing to abide by daily curfew; failing to keep the peace and to be of good behaviour; failing to reside at a specific address unless permission to reside elsewhere is granted by the court; and being within the community of Kingston.

Trahan pleaded guilty to the charges on Sept. 14, 2021. The matters were adjourned to allow time for a pre-sentence report to be prepared and for sentencing.

On Jan. 5, Judge Ronda Van Der Hoek handed Trahan a 90-day conditional sentence order, including daily curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., on the four charges.

Trahan committed the offences in Waterville between March 2 and 9, 2021, and in Kingston on March 9, 2021. Eight more counts of failing to comply with a condition of a release order were withdrawn on Jan. 5.

Kaylynn Mackenzie Keddy, 20, of Aylesford, has been fined and sentenced to probation for having a blood alcohol concentration that was equal to or exceeded the legal limit within two hours after ceasing to operate a conveyance.

Keddy pleaded guilty to the charge on Nov. 9, 2021. The matter was adjourned to Jan. 5 to allow time for a presentence report to be prepared and for sentencing.

Judge Ronda Van Der Hoek fined Keddy $2,500 and sentenced her to 12 months of probation. The court imposed an 18-month driving prohibition against Keddy.

Keddy committed the offence in Aylesford on Aug. 31, 2021. The legal blood alcohol limit is 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. Keddy gave breathalyser readings of 220 and 200.

A charge of operating a conveyance while her ability to do so was impaired to any degree by alcohol or a drug or both was dismissed on Jan. 5.

Jaden LeBlanc, 21, of Saint Alphonse de Clare, Digby

County, has been sentenced to time deemed served for failing to comply with a condition of his undertaking.

LeBlanc changed his plea to guilty on Dec. 29, 2021. Judge Ronda Van Der Hoek sentenced LeBlanc to one day in custody deemed served.

LeBlanc committed the offence in Kentville on Sept. 1, 2020.

Another count of failing to comply with a condition of his undertaking and an assault charge were dismissed on Dec. 29, 2021.
