Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library set to host readings

For those who want to get into reading this year, or are in a reading slump, Trecia Schell, the Community Services Librarian for Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library, suggests turning to your Netflix history.

The Witcher, Stay Close, Maid, You, The Queen’s Gambit and Bridgerton, for example, are all TV shows based on books.

Audiobooks are also always an option with Schell citing that they are great especially for those who like to multitask.

“There is a richness to it because you have them read to you like a radio play,” says Schell.

People can also stop in at their local library, tell a librarian their favourite genres, authors and or topics and the librarians will help steer them in the right direction of some new reads.

The Pictou-Antigonish Regional Library is hosting five author readings between January and March.
