A FEW OF HER FAVOURITE THINGS

Favourite performer?

Sutton Foster. “She is a musical theatre performer and she’s a big name in the industry. I know a lot of her shows because I’ve actually played some of the roles she has played. Last year, we did a junior version of Shrek the Musical and I played Princess Fiona. And she played Princess Fiona. She originated the role on Broadway. So, I could watch her performance to get inspiration for my own performance and a lot of things I picked up on, like her acting style and mannerisms when she’s on stage. I’ve kind of been inspired by that.”

Favourite shows?

Hamilton, Legally Blonde, Footloose, Grease, Singin’ in the Rain, The Sound of Music.

Favourite songs you have performed?

Forget About the Boy.

“Speaking of Sutton Foster, last year, we did an end-of-year spring show and it was Hollywood-themed. My tap class did a number from one of Sutton Foster’s shows and it was the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. The song that we danced to was called “Forget About the Boy” but we also sang to it. So, I was playing Millie, which is Sutton’s role and we got to sing and tap dance which was really fun.”
