Brief New park set for Cornwallis Park

The Municipality of the County of Annapolis has announced plans to develop a new park in Cornwallis Park.

The Annapolis Basin Tidal Beach Park is composed of 3.16 acres with 10 parking spaces, including accessible parking spaces and potential for expansion.

“The tidal beach along the Annapolis Basin has been a hidden gem for a long time,”

Warden Alex Morrison said. "It is sure to be a destination spot for residents and tourists alike.”

Amenities will include an accessible pathway to the beach, a pathway around the land, picnic/sitting areas, a bike rack and an accessible

viewing platform.

The park will be part of the county’s system of parks and trails that gives people a chance to learn more about beach ecology. The park, located at 14 Paardeberg St., will officially open in 2023. Atlantic Briefs Desk
