P.E.I. RCMP arrest 55-year-old prohibited driver

BLOOMFIELD, P.E.I.- Police arrested a 55-year-old man for driving while prohibited in Bloomfield on April 29.
In a May 4 release, RCMP said officers responded to a report of a vehicle driving dangerously and speeding in O’Leary, shortly before 9 a.m.
A short time later, police found the suspect vehicle on Route 145 in Bloomfield.
The driver was arrested without incident and was found to be driving despite having being prohibited by a court order.
He was later released and will appear in Summerside provincial court at a later date.
Additionally, his vehicle was seized and impounded for six months at his expense.
Police ask that anyone who witnesses a dangerous driver to contact 911 safely, providing a vehicle description, location, licence plate and direction of travel.
