A memorial to Black Loyalists in Nova Scotia would not be unprecedented. There is one in the Bayview Cemetery, Goldboro, in Guysborough County as a tribute to Black Loyalists who settled there in 1784 and were buried in the Redhead Cemetery and reburied in the Bayview Cemetery in October 2001. It was a project of the Lincolnville Community Development Association, Redhead Project Committee.
