BAD VIBRATIONS

Here’s a question not often asked: Will the bigger weight of electric vehicles (EVs) do more damage to my house foundation than that of the internal-combustion-engine cars that cruise by now?

My house foundation experiences serious vibrations from passing trucks (briefly, the ground becomes seismically active). I am led to believe that electric vehicles weigh 30 per cent more than regular cars. Will more EVs passing by my house lead to increased deterioration of my foundation? Are the Nova Scotia road planners of today designing roads with roadbeds that will handle the weight of batterypowered vehicles?
