Re: “Houston’s stinginess will back to bite us” (an opinion piece by former NDP MLA and family court judge Bob Levy published in the Annapolis Valley Register on June 23).

I don’t recall Levy’s term in office, but I’m sure he did initiate many wonderful things on behalf of Nova Scotians.

One thing I do know for certain is that we now have a premier — for the first time in the last 50 years — who has the courage to openly admit when his decisions are not acceptable to many Nova Scotians, and takes steps to correct those decisions.

Initiating change is always a process with many pitfalls. But we have a young, intelligent premier who is enthusiastic and committed to improving our province in an open and participatory way. That’s refreshing!
