Nova Scotians looking to show their community pride can now submit nominations for the 2022 Lieutenant-Governor’s Community Spirit Award. In a recent news release, the provincial government said up to four communities will be chosen for the award by a selection committee. The award celebrates the power, strength and diversity of Nova Scotian communities. The award also highlights the community’s achievements and shines a light on the community. “The Lieutenant-Governor’s Community Spirit Award is an opportunity to raise awareness about the incredible work community members do to contribute to a healthy, prosperous province,” said Communities Minister Pat Dunn. “Working together is the key to making sure all Nova Scotians have the best quality of life possible.” The winning communities will be honoured with a handmade award, along with the unveiling of a sign to display in the community. A provincewide media post will also recognize the winners. Nominations must be submitted before Friday, May 20.
