Valley goes 1-2 in Moncton
The Kohltech Valley Wildcats went 1-2 at the recent Monctonian AAA Challenge.
They defeated the UPS Store South Shore Mustangs 2-1 but lost 2-1 to the Pinnacle Growlers from Newfoundland and 4-1 to New Brunswick’s Fredericton Caps.
Saint John beat Moncton 2-1 in an all-New Brunswick final. The Halifax McDonald’s and Steele Subaru from the Eastlink Nova Scotia Under-18 Major Hockey League lost in the semifinals.
The Wildcats (14-8) return to league play Nov. 28 in Cole Harbour against the Wolfpack. The next home game is against Subaru on Dec. 29.

WILDCATS 2 MUSTANGS 1
Nolan Fowler scored the winner 15 minutes into the third period. Carter Graves and Drew Lutz had the assists. Jacob Gerhardt tied the game with a power-play goal in the second period.
Chase Crowell earned the win.
GROWLERS 2 WILDCATS 1
Braedy Walsh scored the winner 12 minutes into the third period for the Growlers.
The game was scoreless after the first period while the Wildcats took a 1-0 lead to the third.
Fowler from Aidan Bent and Spencer Bower had Valley’s goal. Samuel Sinclair took the loss.
CAPS 4 WILDCATS 1
Four different skaters scored as the Caps defeated the Wildcats.
Fowler from Lutz had Valley’s marker. Samuel Sinclair took the loss.
